About
The InterPreT Cancer Survival website was developed by Dr. Sarwar Islam Mozumder as part of his PhD at the University of Leicester along with his supervisors Prof. Paul Lambert and Dr. Mark Rutherford. This was done in collaboration with Prof. Paul Dickman and Dr. Hannah Bower at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden who were involved in the inclusion of Swedish data in InterPreT.
On navigation of the site, users will find a section dedicated to the tool, InterPreT, and a section which focuses on more technical details such as, statistical background on the methods used, scientific definitions, and an in-depth explanation on the process behind the obtained predictions and data collected.
Who are we?
Sarwar Islam Mozumder is a Research Associate in Biostatistics at the Department of Health Sciences in University of Leicester, UK. Main research interests lie in survival analysis, particulary in competing risks theory and the analysis of cancer registry data. InterPreT Cancer Survival was a part of his PhD which he completed in 2018.

Paul Lambert is a Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Leicester, UK. He also works part-time at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. His main interest is in the development and application of methods in population-based cancer research. He has also developed a variety of interactive tools to communicate some of his research interests which can be found here.

Mark Rutherford is a Lecturer of Biostatistics at the University of Leicester, UK. He has a keen interest in the application of survival methods, particularly for population-based cancer data.

Paul Dickman is a Professor of Biostatistics at the Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. His primary research interests are in the development and application of statistical methods for population-based cancer survival analysis, particularly in the estimation and modeling of relative survival. Current research, in collaboration with Professor Paul Lambert, focusses on the development and application of methods for presenting patient survival that are relevant for patients, clinicians, and the general public.

Hannah Bower is a Biostatistician working in the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. Her main research interest is in the development and application of statistical methods for population-based cancer survival studies.
